The Minolta XL-Sound 42 is a straightforward but powerful motion picture camera that shoots super 8mm film in single frames and 18 frames per second. Our cameras have been modified by Portland, OR-based filmmaker Miles Sprietsma to shoot at cinema standard 24 fps, and can automatically meter for ASA 50-200. With a long zoom range, macro mode, and pistol grip handle, the XL-Sound series of super 8mm cameras are versatile machines suited for motion picture beginners and experts alike!
