Brooklyn Film Camera is hiring an in-house marketing person to run our SEO, Google Ads, and Meta Ads. We're a film camera shop, lab, repair studio, and gallery in East Williamsburg. Our customers are photographers buying restored cameras, getting film developed, sending in repairs, and joining our developing membership. Our ad field is niche and our SEO has other niche competitors.

Required Expertise

• Enough knowledge to build a Google Ads campaign and optimize based on results
• Run organic search strategy and execution for brooklynfilmcamera.com: building backlinks, raising our link ranking
• A bit of working with us on landing page tests and conversion improvements
• Report on what's working, kill what isn't, tell us why
• Run Google Ads (Shopping, Search, performance campaigns)
• Run Meta Ads campaigns end to end

We need someone who has personally run all three of these jobs. We would rather have someone who is decent at all 3 than an expert in one and novice in the other two. We don't need a camera expert, but we need someone who understands why people are searching Canon vs Pentax, and how it relates to us. We need someone who understands the specific niche of our brand and how it translates to SEO.

Heavy bonus weight if you shoot film yourself, know what a Hasselblad is, or have worked with specialty retail. If your portfolio is all SaaS and DTC supplements, this probably isn't the fit.

Logistics

• 20–25 hours/week to start, room to grow
• $30–35/hour starting, DOE
• Hybrid: in our shop at 855 Grand St (East Williamsburg) at least one day a week, more during onboarding. Rest is remote.

We are looking for educators to lead classes, lectures, workshops, and photowalks at our Williamsburg HQ. We handle marketing, ticketing, and supplies, and offer a share of revenue.
