Overview
BFC is hiring a full-time Office & Fulfillment Coordinator (35 hours/week) based at our Grand Street store in Brooklyn. In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day order fulfillment by packing and shipping orders, responding to customer emails related to orders and shipping, processing returns, and grabbing/delivering packages. You’ll also help keep operations running smoothly by managing inventory levels for film, accessories, and most non-camera items, handling light supplier communication, keeping office supplies stocked, and maintaining an organized, clean basement and inventory/storage space. The starting rate for this position is $22/hour.
Role
Operations & Shipping Associate (Film Camera Shop)
- Manage inventory for film, accessories, and most non-camera related items
- Maintain office and shipping supplies
- Fulfill online orders and in-store pickups
- Drop off / pick up packages at the post office
- Process returns
- Support intake and provide clerk coverage (breaks)
- Run register for the last 1.5 hours and close the store
- Handle trash removal and keep the basement organized
Applicants must be
- Available full-time (35 hours/week), 1:30–8:30pm Monday–Friday, and able to work on-site
- Strong organization and attention to detail (packing, returns, inventory, keeping spaces tidy)
- Comfortable shipping orders end-to-end (packing, labeling, carrier drop-offs, tracking)
- Clear, professional written communication for customer emails about orders/shipping/returns
- Able to lift/move boxes and keep the basement/inventory area organized and well maintained
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks without things slipping through the cracks
