Our standard warranty doesn't cover accidental damage. Extended warranty does — and it extends your total coverage period on top of what's already included. Available for cameras up to $2,500.
Returns
14-day window · Same condition required
If you change your mind, you have 14 days from delivery to return your camera. The camera must be returned in the same condition it was received. A 15% restocking fee is deducted from your refund.
All returns must be authorized before shipping anything to us. Contact us at hello@brooklynfilmcamera.com with your order number to start the process. Do not ship without authorization.
We recommend using the warranty instead of returning where possible — if the camera has a functional issue within its warranty period, we'll fix or replace it at no cost, which is a better outcome than a partial refund.
Shipping
Coverage depends on timing
Within 30 days: BFC covers return shipping on warranty claims and approved returns.
After 30 days: The buyer is responsible for return shipping both ways on all warranty claims. We recommend using a tracked shipping method.
Do not ship any gear until you've spoken with us and received a return authorization. Brooklyn Film Camera reserves the right to deny refund or warranty claims made without prior authorization.

Full warranty terms
SLR cameras, rangefinders, medium format cameras, and all Polaroid models (including SX-70 and other folding cameras) come with a six-month mechanical warranty. Point and shoot cameras come with a three-month mechanical warranty. Some products have extended or limited warranties — check each product listing for exact terms.
Warranties are non-transferable and apply to the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase is required for all claims. Warranty is void if the camera has been tampered with, repaired, or modified by anyone outside of Brooklyn Film Camera.
Warranty does not cover liquid damage, tampering, impact damage, accidental damage, intentional damage, misuse, cosmetic wear, or any problems caused by outside repairs or attempted repairs not performed by Brooklyn Film Camera. Cameras sold as-is or through garage sale events are not eligible for warranty coverage.
Brooklyn Film Camera reserves the right to inspect any warranty claim for up to five business days before determining whether to repair or replace the camera. We may void a warranty if evidence of damage or tampering not covered under our policy is found upon inspection.
Return shipping on warranty claims is covered by BFC within the first 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, the buyer is responsible for shipping both ways. We recommend insured, tracked shipping for all returns. Brooklyn Film Camera is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
We do not issue refunds for cameras after 14 days. Cameras returned within 14 days are subject to a 15% restocking fee and must be in the same condition as received. All returns must be authorized before shipment. Do not ship any item without first contacting us and receiving a return authorization.
Warranty cameras are not exchanged on the spot. If a camera cannot be repaired, Brooklyn Film Camera will replace it with the same model. If an identical replacement is not available, we will work with you on a suitable resolution. No cash refunds are issued under the standard warranty.
