Every lens that goes through our shop is given a comprehensive CLA to restore performance and longevity. Work begins with carefully removing the mount and/or front elements, allowing us to access and clean away grime, oils, and debris that accumulate beneath. Each optical element is inspected and, where possible, cleaned of fungus, haze, and dust to maximize clarity.

The focusing helicoids are disassembled, stripped of old grease, and re-lubricated to ensure smooth operation. The aperture assembly is checked for speed and responsiveness; if blades are sluggish, they are individually removed, soaked, and treated to eliminate oils before being reinstalled. As the lens is reassembled, we verify that the aperture opens and closes fully and consistently.

Finally, the lens is calibrated for precise focus, including critical infinity focus checks, so that every image renders sharp and true. From mount to glass, each step of the process is carried out with care, ensuring the lens performs at its best for years to come.
