We started Brooklyn Film Camera to take the guesswork out of buying a film camera. Most shops give you a wipe-down and, at best, replace the light seals — that isn't enough. Forty-year-old cameras need real work to shoot like they did the day they left the factory.
Every camera we sell passes through our in-house technicians. We adjust shutter speeds back to factory spec, modify circuitry when the original components have aged out, replace parts when needed, and bench-test every function before anything ships. Years of research and development go into the process, and we keep refining it.

You never know what you're going to get. Occasionally, you'll get a new, current stock that's hard to get. When Kodak relaunched a few months ago, BFC included one of them. It was hard to get at the time. It was awesome! The Expired Film Club is a perfect way to let go of digital perfectionism.
