Camera is Ready

Was able to get this film just in time for my photoshoot. It was everything I need for those awesome pictures, it allowed me to have such a cool grain effect on my camera and as always easy to use :)

For background I have been shooting my old SX70 for about 6 years. I had come across BFC through their Polaroid repair work and was impressed by the shops quality and service reliability. (I used my SX70 across well over a dozen countries with a lot of rough travel and BFC has done two great tune ups of it for me!) So when it came time to move to 35mm I went with BFC's rec and got the K1000. I am still a week into shooting on this camera and I am yet to develop my rolls, but I have been impressed both by the process of getting the camera from BFC (it came carefully packaged and ahead of schedule), and the camera itself. I am anticipating a steep learning curve to figure out how to fully utilize the additional capabilities of the K1000 relative to my sx70--but the shooting experience is lovely. The shutter has a very satisfying click and the winding wheel is similar object of audio-delight. The viewfinder is nice and large and the lightmeter is responsive. Its a fun camera--excited for it to be my first in this new phase.

Got this as a birthday present for my partner, captured the most beautiful and vibrant pictures from our recent vacation in Zipolite! Had no idea which camera to get and the attendant at the shop was very knowledgable and showed me plenty of options and pros/cons to each model. Thank you x1,000,000 times over!

Was able to get my film roll switched after one had sold out it went very quick and I was able to receive everything in time! My film rolls came out beautifully!

Originally purchased the Yashica Mat 124 G. I was notified that it was no longer available but the 124 was. Would I consider this one instead? My questions were answered promptly and I proceeded with this purchase. Very positive experience!

BFC is a great shop. The Film Developing Membership is a fantastic way to have your processing ready to go. Pick up a prepaid mailing label. When you're done shooting, drop your film in the mail from wherever you are, and it's done lickety split! Perfect when you're traveling or just walking around.

I had a great experience at the store! I actually went into the store looking just to pick up some film, but saw the Olympus bought it and very very happy with it. It's a perfect little point and shoot! I received great service at the store as well!

This was a giant leap for me to purchase a film camera. This camera is not just any film camera at that. I am very pleased. It looks fantastic! Thank you Brooklyn Film Camera-trustworthy and great service!!

It worked really well. It covers everything with a purple tone so the photo is a bit darker than normal but some tones were more noticeable than with the regular film. The only downside is there are only 8 photos in a pack.

You have to be tired of the sterility of digital by now. The Expired Film Club is a fun way to try out older stocks and put some unpredictability into your life and art. You never know what you're going to get. Occasionally, you'll get a new, current stock that's hard to get. When Kodak relaunched a few months ago, BFC included one of them. It was hard to get at the time. It was awesome! The Expired Film Club is a perfect way to let go of digital perfectionism.
