The Yashica Mat-124 is a medium format twin-lens reflex (TLR) camera released by Yashica. Designed as a Rolleiflex copy, it features a four-leaf Yashinon 80mm f/3.5 lens, shutter speeds from bulb (indefinite exposure) to 1/500th of a second, an auto-stop film advance, an aperture range of f/3.5 - f/22, and a ground-glass viewfinder with a focus magnifier.
While this camera was manufactured with a built-in light meter, age has rendered them quite inaccurate or non-functional. We recommend using an external meter for optimal results.
TLRs are incredibly special cameras. They make images with enormous, beautiful depth-of-field and are simply incredible to see the world through.
Uses any 120 (aka "medium-format") film.
How we restore our cameras
All of our cameras undergo extensive refurbishments before they’re offered for sale. All cameras are inspected for mechanical operation, electronic function, light seals, and optical condition. Cameras are cleaned and adjusted prior to sale, and both bodies & lenses receive a full CLA when appropriate to ensure smooth & accurate operation. Your camera will come perfectly ready to shoot.
