How we price a used film camera
Our offers start from what we expect the camera to sell for once it has been serviced. For most cameras that's:
Collectible gear that resells for $800 or more pays 45% cash or 70% store credit. The range you see online runs from a camera with normal wear to one in excellent shape. The firm number comes after a tech opens the camera and checks the shutter, light seals, meter and optics, because a camera that looks perfect outside can still need work inside.

Bring the camera to our shop at 855 Grand Street, Brooklyn, Monday to Friday, 11 to 5, with a photo ID. A tech looks it over while you wait and you leave with cash or store credit.
Mail-in from anywhere in the US
Send photos through the form and pick "Ship it to us." If we're interested, we email you a link to buy two labels: one to us and a return label. If we buy the camera, the return label is refunded. If we pass, the camera comes back to you on it.

How much will you pay for my film camera?
Most cameras get 30% of what we expect them to resell for in cash, or 50% in store credit. Collectible gear that resells for $800 or more gets 45% cash or 70% store credit. Type your model at the top of the page for a potential range; the firm number comes after a tech inspects it.
Do you buy broken or untested cameras?
Yes, we look at everything. Condition changes the price, and a camera that needs parts or a full service is worth less, but it's often still worth bringing in.
Can I mail my camera in?
Yes, from anywhere in the US. Send photos through the form and choose "Ship it to us." If we're interested, we email a link to buy two labels: one to us and a return label. If we buy the camera, the return label is refunded. If we pass, the camera comes back to you on it.
Why do you open the camera before making a final offer?
Shutters, light seals, meters and mirrors wear out in ways you can't see from outside. Our techs open the body to check the internal components, so the final price reflects how the camera actually works.
When can I drop off a camera in Brooklyn?
Monday to Friday, 11 to 5, at 855 Grand Street in Brooklyn. Bring a photo ID. A tech looks it over while you wait.
How do I get paid?
In the shop, cash or store credit on the spot. For mail-in, you choose Venmo, Zelle, or a BFC gift card. Venmo and Zelle get the cash offer; the gift card gets the higher store-credit offer.
What if my camera isn't on your list?
It's an unlisted model, so our price will be lower than for cameras we stock regularly, but you're still welcome to bring it in or send photos.
Do you buy digital cameras?
No. We only buy film cameras, film lenses and related gear.
