Is the Canon AE-1 a good camera?

How do you load film in a Canon AE-1?
Open the back by pulling up the rewind knob. Put the cartridge on the left and push the rewind knob down. Push the film tip into a slot of the take-up spool, wind once to check that both edges catch the sprockets, close the back, then wind and fire until the counter shows 1. Set the ISO first. What film does a Canon AE-1 use?
The Canon AE-1 uses standard 35mm film in any speed. ISO 200 or 400 color film is a good start in daylight. Set the film speed on the dial before you shoot. We stock 35mm film and our lab develops and scans it for $18 a roll.
