The Canon AE-1 Program is a 35mm SLR offering full manual control and automatic exposure modes for any shooting situation. In Program mode, it automatically selects the correct shutter speed and aperture, making it easy for beginners and experts to get consistently excellent results. Switch to manual or shutter-priority mode, and it provides the precision and feedback experienced photographers expect.
Produced in the early 1980s, the AE-1 Program features shutter speeds ranging from bulb to 1/1000 second, a built-in light meter, and is compatible with Canon’s plethora of FD lenses, including the 50mm f/1.8 standard lens that's included.
