The Minolta XL-Sound series are capable, well-built motion picture cameras designed to shoot Super 8mm film. It offers a significantly wider zoom range than the 42 or 64 models and is the only camera in the XL-Sound lineup to natively shoot at 24fps, making it a strong choice for filmmakers seeking a more cinematic motion cadence. Despite the name, it shoots silent Super 8 film only, as sound cartridges are no longer produced.

Each Super 8 camera is carefully cleaned and serviced inside and out. Dust is removed from the camera body and viewfinder, deteriorated foam is replaced, and any battery corrosion is properly addressed. Corroded or damaged battery contacts are repaired or replaced as needed to ensure reliable power delivery
Mechanical
Mechanical issues are inspected on a case-by-case basis and corrected whenever possible, either through adjustment or part replacement. Lenses are not disassembled for cleaning, but may be swapped when necessary to ensure proper function and image quality.
Testing
Every individual camera is tested with real film to confirm proper operation before being offered for sale.
