The Minolta XL-Sound series are straightforward but powerful motion picture cameras that shoot super 8mm film in single frames and 18 frames per second. Our cameras have been modified by Portland, OR-based filmmaker Miles Sprietsma to shoot at cinema standard 24 fps, and can automatically meter for ASA 50-200. Boasting a much wider zoom range than the 42 or 64 models, the XL-Sound 84 is also the only model to natively shoot at 24fps, making it a seriously formidable motion picture machine.
